My son is enjoying immensely and improving fast after taking lessons from Thalia. She has a good quality of teaching with a great patience for young boy. I highly recommend.
Our kids have been doing lessons with Thalia for a few weeks now and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Thalia prepares her lessons really well adapting them to the specific needs of each child. She is friendly and makes the lessons enjoyable. She has a wealth of knowledge about chess and is passionate about sharing this with younger players. We highly recommend her classes.
That lesson was awesome. Not only did I learn weakness and constructive thinking patterns for preventing blunders but I also took a lot from the conversation around rating and how striving for finding enjoyment in the game and improving each game is key. You’re an exceptional teacher and a great person. I have a few friends who play chess and I feel they would benefit from a teacher like yourself so I’ll definitely recommend you to them.

Thalia is thorough and patient with her teaching; Applying theory to practice paced to suit our childs needs. She explains chess moves in a functional, non-complicated manner. Very patient with SEN needs. Extremely knowledgable and enthusiastic about the game. Highly recommend.
Thalia is an exceptional teacher. The patience and clarity they bring to every lesson is remarkable, complex concepts are explained in ways that genuinely make sense to a young learner, and there’s always a sense of fun that keeps them fully engaged. Our son has made incredible progress, but more importantly, they’ve developed a real love for the game. Highly recommended!
Club is excellent, well organised and consistent. I don’t think we encounter any cancellations since it started in Geek Retreat and my son loves it. Organisers are welcoming everyone and helpful.
