About Me

I began playing chess when I was 4, and quickly rose through the ranks of my local club, tournaments, and eventually began playing county matches age 9

At age 10, I broke my way into the England Junior Team, playing matches against Wales, Ireland, France and Italy. I also gained a space in the English Chess Federation's International Chess Academy. However, the pressure to perform stopped me from playing for a few years.

When I rejoined the chess world in 2019, my interest peaked, with a desire to help others, and help keep chess fun, avoiding the pitfalls I fell into as a junior.

Since returning to chess, I have managed to achieve an online rating of 2150 - in the top 0.01% on Chess.com. I also began playing over the board matches again, winning 38% of my games, drawing 45% and losing just 17%

In late 2024 I began working on my passion project: the Chester Junior Chess Club, helping kids come together and learn to play chess. When we began, we averaged about 10 people a week, however after a recent venue change, we have expanded

In 2025 I was invited on the BBC show "Chess Masters: The Endgame." On the show, I faced tough opponents, difficult challenges and tricky tactics, but ultimately I prevailed against the competition and won the show. At present, I have taught over 160 chess lessons to over 15 children. I have also expanded the club to have an average of over 30 children per week, and am still looking to expand further.
